We finish the first week of Shiny Wars by getting through the summer season.
Crimson Core is fielding two teams this year, with our Crimson Core and Crimson
Collective team going head to head in a friendly in-team competition, which finishes the
first week with Crimson Core ahead. Kailardds and GymLeaderBrando were the first
two players to hit first for their respective teams! Crimson Core is currently sitting
108th on the Official PokeMMO SW Leaderboard, whilst Crimson Collective is sitting
at 218th. There is still plenty of Shunting to be done this month, as we are only
finishing up week one, so let's get out there and continue to Shunt!

📸 Social Moment of the Week
This week's standout moment didn't happen in a battle or at an egg machine. It happened in Altering Cave.
Both Crimson Core and Crimson Collective descended on Altering Cave together, flooding the channel with red. Within minutes, members started shouting in Global chat that this was now Crimson Cave and that everyone else should leave. And people actually left.
It was a beautiful reminder of just how powerful this team is when we move together. We didn't just take over a cave, we made a statement. That is what Crimson Core looks like when it shows up.

So you are top of the leaderboard for week one of Shiny Wars for the Crimson Core team as of August 6th, can you explain how it feels to be so wet?
Nature: "To be honest it feels great, after going 89k then 74k dry and then being wet is great. Hope everyone else gets to experience it!"
Out of all the shinies you caught so far, which one is your favorite?
Nature: "My favorite shiny I have caught so far would have to be Fraxure. I have hunted Axew since we started the team, so getting it was a major accomplishment of mine and a goal I had set months ago!"
Do you have any planned shunts for the next season coming up?
Nature: "I have been having fun hanging out with people and shunting together so more than likely I will bounce around between people and try and have a good time! Anything with a species bonus and a homie would be in my sights, T5+."
What has been your primary shunting technique so far? (Egging, hordes, fishing, etc)
Nature: "Mostly 5x and 3x hordes T5+ with first catch species bonus, but I have spent several charms in the Safari also. No luck yet, but I plan to get at least one Safari shiny before Wars is over and plan to try and hunt Shellder during winter since it has eluded me in the past."
If you could be any Pokémon, which would you be and why?
Nature: "If I could be any Pokémon I would be a Charizard, dude can fly, he can spit fire, and is all around a badass. So yeah, I'd choose him."
Anything else you want to say before we wrap up?
Nature: "Don't be afraid to meet people during Wars, if you see someone hunting on the team and you haven't gotten to talk with them, go and hang out. You never know, you may find a good friend. And if there's an open spot in a link, take it, we all need to be under charms!! Also, we hang out in voice chat daily, come say hello!"

Link: "Singles have been good, still going for Feebas."

Link: "I have a few shunts on my list for summer and winter."

Link: "Nosepass — for the nose xD"

Link: "I was talking to Heavy about maybe putting together an ironman team after Shiny Wars, and would like to know if you had any interest."

It goes without saying that Crimson Core was created just three months ago, and we have already hit the top 100 on the Official PokeMMO Shiny Wars Leaderboard. That is an incredible achievement and something every member of this team should be proud of. With three weeks still to go, it is all to play for. Keep grinding, keep pushing, and keep putting our name on the map!
