📜 Rules
Rotating Seasons
Seasons cycle every 7 days (Summer to Autumn to Winter to Spring), affecting which Pokémon appear in the wild. Plan your routes around the current season. The Shiny Dex lets you preview each season's encounter tables in advance.
+10% Shiny Boost
A global +10% wild shiny rate boost is active for the entire event for all players, not just competitors. This does not apply to Eggs, Fossils, Game Corner, or Shedinja.
Auto-Logging
All OT shiny Pokémon caught by registered players are recorded automatically. No manual submission needed. Your score updates the moment you catch a shiny.
Hold-On Rule Removed
Unlike last year, you do not need to keep your shinies for the duration of the event. Catches are counted immediately. Trade, sell, or keep them as you like.
Breeding Rules
Shinies bred from two shiny parents are not valid. However, shinies bred from non-shiny parents count normally and are scored at whichever is higher: 35 points or the species' tier value.
Evolution Lines = Same Points
Every Pokémon within an evolution line is worth the same number of points. Catching a Magikarp scores the same as catching a Gyarados.
Tie-Breaking
If teams tie, both are credited with the higher finishing position. Two teams tied at positions 10 & 11 both receive the position 10 reward.
Duplicate Penalty
If a single player catches more than one shiny from the same evolution line, each duplicate is only worth +1 point (or +35 points if it's a Shiny Alpha). The first catch scores normally.
Example: PRK catches 5 Rattata & 1 Raticate. The first Rattata = 3 pts. The remaining 4 Rattata + Raticate = 1 pt each.

🥚 Egg Hatch: 35 pts (or tier value, whichever is higher)
Unique Species Bonus
The first time your team catches any Pokémon from a new evolution line, the team gets a +8 bonus on that catch. Subsequent catches of the same line do not award this bonus.
Example: PRK catches a Zubat (Tier 7 = 3 pts). It's the first Zubat on the team → +8 unique bonus = 11 pts total. Enzo later catches a Golbat = only 3 pts (line already counted).
