Crimson Core Features: Shiny Wall
The Shiny Wall - Your Personal Shiny Trophy Room
Every shiny you catch as a Crimson Core member deserves to be remembered. The Shiny Wall is a live showcase on the Crimson Core website that displays every verified OT shiny caught by a community member, organised by player, powered by the Discord bot, and updated by the officer team. If you caught it and reported it, it lives here permanently.
The Shiny Wall is a community trophy room. Every time a Crimson Core member catches an OT shiny and has it verified by the admin team, it gets logged to the wall. Each member gets their own player card showing all of their verified catches, sorted by the most active hunters at the top. The wall tracks the total number of shinies caught across the whole community as well as how many individual hunters have contributed.
The process is straightforward. When you catch a shiny in-game, head to the Crimson Core Discord server and post your catch in the correct channel with a clear photo showing the shiny on screen. The photo is the proof of the catch, so make sure the sparkle animation or the shiny sprite is clearly visible.
Once your catch is posted, the admin and officer team will review the photo and confirm that it is a legitimate OT shiny. This verification step keeps the wall accurate and meaningful. Only verified catches make it onto the wall, so every entry you see has been confirmed by the team.
Once an officer has verified the catch, they use a bot command in Discord to log it. The bot sends the catch data to the Crimson Core API and the website updates instantly. There is no manual editing of the site and no delay between verification and it appearing on the wall. Your shiny shows up on your personal card the moment it is logged.
Every hunter on the wall gets their own card. Your card shows your in-game name, your total verified shiny count, your Discord handle, and the date of your most recent catch. Cards are automatically sorted by shiny count, so the first card you see belongs to whichever member has caught the most verified shinies. The more you catch, the higher up the wall you climb.
As the Crimson Core hunting community grows, finding your own card gets harder to do by scrolling. The search bar at the top of the wall lets you type any player name and the grid instantly filters down to just that person. Whether you want to check your own collection or look up a fellow hunter, the search gets you there in seconds no matter how many members are on the wall.
Inside each player card, every verified shiny is displayed as its official shiny sprite with a soft sparkle glow and a gentle floating animation. Below each sprite you will see the Pokemon name, the date it was caught, and the encounter count if the officer logged how many encounters it took to find it. If a player has more than nine catches, the card paginates with arrow controls so nothing gets cut off.
Every verified catch on the Shiny Wall feeds directly into the Crimson Shiny Dex. The Shiny Dex is equal parts tool and team showcase. On the showcase side it displays the entire team's OT shiny collection in a Pokedex-style format, so you can browse every species the community has caught and see exactly who caught it. On the tool side, each entry shows where that Pokemon can be found in the wild and whether it appears in any horde encounters, making it useful for hunters who want to know the best spots to target a specific shiny before they start.
A full spotlight on the Crimson Shiny Dex is coming soon.
The Shiny Wall has a second tab called the Graveyard. This is a memorial for every shiny that was encountered but fainted before the player could catch it, also known as a shiny assassin. These entries are logged the same way as wall catches, but instead of celebrating the catch they mark the loss. The sprites appear in greyscale with a R.I.P. tombstone header and a slight swaying animation, and the player responsible for the accident is listed below.
The Graveyard is one of the most relatable features on the site. If you have ever lost a shiny to a critical hit or a missed catch, you know the feeling. Logging it here means it is never forgotten.
The Shiny Wall is built on a direct connection between the Discord server and the website. Everything flows through the Crimson Core bot, which means officers never have to touch the site directly. The full journey from catch to wall looks like this:
- You catch a shiny in PokeMMO and post a photo in the correct Discord channel
- An officer reviews the photo and confirms it is a legitimate OT catch
- The officer uses a bot command to log the catch, including the Pokemon name, date, and optional encounter count
- The bot sends the data to the Crimson Core API instantly
- Your player card on the Shiny Wall updates in real time, no page refresh needed
The same system handles the Graveyard. If an officer logs a lost shiny, it goes straight to the graveyard tab instead.
The Shiny Wall is free to use and always live. If you have a catch that should be on the wall or you lost one that deserves a Graveyard entry, post it in the Discord and tag an officer.
