Hey Team! October is upon us, and it's shaping up to be a spooktacular month for the Crimson Collective! The Shiny Tournament has wrapped up, and DestinyPlus takes home the gold. September's Shiny of the Month goes to Rhydondeez, who caught a Shiny Breloom during a ×3 horde in Crimson Cave. It was a brilliant catch that showcased both timing and skill.

Crimson Rivals is officially underway! Participants register, get paired with a rival, and take on a series of quests together for shared prizes and bragging rights. Each completed quest earns points toward proving who truly dominates the rivalry.

Whether you're strategising with your partner or racing to outdo them, Crimson Rivals is all about teamwork, competition, and pride within the Collective. The battles are heating up: who will rise as the ultimate duo this season?

👻 Specter's Weakest Link Catch Event October 23–25

Hosted by UnstableTy, the Curse of Lavender Town is spreading across the Crimson Collective for one eerie weekend! From Friday, October 23 at 5:00 PM CST to Sunday, October 25 at 5:00 PM CST, descend into the foggy depths of Pokémon Tower to uncover the most cursed, weakest, and utterly useless ghosts.

Catch one Gastly, one Haunter, and one Gengar to form your feeble trio. The player with the lowest combined total IVs claims the grand prize, with second and third place earning rewards too. Gastly and Haunter can be found through standard encounters, but Gengar requires lures. Only the bravest will succeed!

Check your timestamps, make sure your OT matches, and submit all three catches before the deadline. Ties are broken by the earliest catch time.

🏆 Shiny Tournament

DestinyPlus takes the crown

The Shiny Tournament is officially over, and DestinyPlus comes out on top! Everyone who participated deserves a huge pat on the back and a congratulations for bringing their A game. We caught up with Heavy to talk about planning the event and bringing it to life.

How much planning went into this Shiny Tournament?

Heavy: “A fair amount. I already had the layout for the tournament built from a previous event and wanted to reuse it for this. I just had to spend time making the rules fair and inclusive for everyone.”

What sparked the idea to create such a unique PvP event?

Heavy: “Seeing how many shinies the team hit in Wars made it feel like the perfect event to follow. We all spent so long working together catching them. Now we get to see how useful they were!”

How do you feel about this first-time event? Is there anything you'd change next time?

Heavy: “I think it went really well. The only struggle was the timing; I had to extend it because battles were struggling to be organised. I'm not sure if I'll keep the second-chance bracket or not; it's something to consider.”

Anything else you'd like to say to the Crimson Collective community?

Heavy: “Please spend time enjoying and being part of the events. There's no cost to join, and they're made to bring the community together and add an extra bit of enjoyment. If something doesn't fit for you, or there's a reason you're not taking part, please let me know so I can adapt and make it more inclusive.”

How did you hear about Crimson Core?

Destiny: “I was invited by damdamdam, who is also a fellow Singaporean.”

What is your primary focus in the game right now?

Destiny: “Nothing much already, just farming and now doing soft sand hunting.”

What is your single favourite PokeMMO memory, achievement, or rare catch so far?

Destiny: “Egg hatching shiny Chansey.”

Do you have a favourite moment from the team, in game, on Discord, etc.?

Destiny: “I love the events hosted and everyone is very enthusiastic about it.”

Anything else you'd like to add or say to the rest of the team?

Destiny: “Love the team!!!”
