📍 Route 47, JohtoLucky Eggs are extremely valuable: rare to find and boosting EXP gain by 100%. Route 47 has a good Ditto and Chansey encounter mix, so you can catch and sell Ditto on the GTL for steady profit while waiting for Chansey to appear.
Core Mechanics
Both Ditto and Chansey appear at Level 26. Lead with a Level 26 Pokemon and use Repels to block all lower level encounters. Lures increase encounter frequency further.

Level 26, no held item. Instantly checks and steals Lucky Eggs from Chansey in one turn.
Amulet Coin
📍 One Island, Kindle Road, KantoAmulet Coins are one of the most consistently profitable quick sell items in PokeMMO. Every gym rerunner needs one and new players buy them constantly, so they sell fast on the GTL. Wild Meowth on Kindle Road have a chance to hold one, and there are two farming setups depending on what Pokemon you have available.
- Lead with a Frisk + Thief Pokemon and walk in the Kindle Road grass.
- Frisk immediately reveals whether the Meowth holds an Amulet Coin.
- If it does, use Thief to steal it in one turn and run.
- If not, run immediately and reset.
Simple and reliable. Best option if you do not have a Pickpocket Pokemon set up.
- Use Sweet Scent to trigger a Meowth horde of 5.
- Lead with Gothitelle (Frisk). Frisk reveals which Meowths in the horde hold an Amulet Coin.
- Use Imprison to lock Nasty Plot and Hypnosis across the entire horde.
- Switch to your Pickpocket Pokemon (Alpha Weavile or similar).
- With their non-contact moves imprisoned, each Meowth is forced to use a contact move on your switch-in.
- Pickpocket triggers automatically on each contact hit, stealing the Amulet Coin from any Meowth that holds one.
- KO the rest or run and reset.
Up to 5 Amulet Coin checks per Sweet Scent use. Far faster than single encounters once set up correctly. Alpha Weavile is the ideal Pickpocket user due to its bulk and Speed letting it survive the horde contact hits.
Everstones and Hard Stones
📍 Wellspring Cave, Unova / Rock Tunnel, KantoEverstones are a cornerstone of the breeding economy. Breeders buy them constantly to lock natures, so they maintain steady demand and stable pricing. Hard Stones are a natural side product you will collect in the same runs.
Wellspring Cave in Unova is a top spot. Roggenrola spawns frequently with high encounter density. Rock Tunnel, Mt. Moon, or Jagged Pass all work well for Geodude and Graveler.
Life Orb
📍 Route 120 (Hoenn) / Route 13 (Unova)Life Orbs are among the highest value PvP items in the game. They are used on countless offensive builds, sell quickly, and command premium prices.
Both Route 120 and Route 13 have strong Absol encounter rates. Use Repels to filter out lower level encounters and reach Absol more consistently.
Leftovers
📍 Cerulean Cave / Route 16, KantoLeftovers is one of the most universally used held items in both PvP and PvE. Passive healing every turn makes it a staple on tanky builds, stall teams, and utility Pokemon. It never loses value.
Use Lures to increase Snorlax's encounter rate. Cerulean Cave and Route 16 are both reliable spots.
Fossil Farming
📍 Island 1, Kanto (Rock Smash route)Fossil farming is most efficient when combined with Everstone and Hard Stone farming. Fossils have steady GTL demand, especially during events or when players are hunting specific species.
- Smash every rock on Island 1.
- Sometimes you will receive a fossil directly.
- Sometimes you will trigger a Geodude or Graveler encounter.
- Use Frisk + Thief to steal Everstones or Hard Stones from those encounters.
A great background farm while watching something or grinding casually.
Heart Scales and Red Shards
📍 Ever Grande City, lower water area, HoennHeart Scales are the currency for the Move Relearner, making them one of the most consistently purchased items in the game. Players constantly need them for PvP builds, story progression, and breeding projects.
Luvdisc
Holds Heart Scales. Use a Super Rod and lead with Frisk + Thief to steal on contact.
Corsola
Holds Red Shards, a bonus income stream from the same spot. Everything else can be safely run from.
Toxic Orb
📍 Celadon City, Old Man's Pond, KantoToxic Orbs are a high value PvP item used for Poison Heal (Breloom, Gliscor) and Guts (Ursaring, Conkeldurr). They sell quickly, but farming them is the trickiest setup in this guide.
Prevents Muk's held item from being stolen. A normal Frisk + Thief setup will fail entirely.
Muk can throw its held item as an attack. If Fling lands, the Toxic Orb is permanently deleted.
- Lead with Level 37 Dusknoir and use Repels.
- When Muk appears, Frisk confirms whether it holds a Toxic Orb.
- Use Imprison immediately to block Fling.
- Use Skill Swap to remove Sticky Hold.
- Use Trick to safely take the Toxic Orb.
- Run from the battle and reset.
Flame Orb
📍 Route 13, UnovaFlame Orbs are a high value PvP item for Guts users (Conkeldurr, Heracross, Ursaring) and Facade builds. Unlike Toxic Orbs, Heatmor has no interfering abilities or moves, making this a far simpler farm.
- Use Sweet Scent to trigger a Heatmor horde.
- Frisk checks each Heatmor in the horde automatically.
- If any Heatmor holds a Flame Orb, use Thief to steal it.
- KO the rest or run to reset quickly.
Hordes multiply your encounter rate, making this one of the fastest orb farms in the game.
Elemental Orb Farming
IV manipulation items for the legendary birds - farmed using the Coalescence mechanic introduced in 2024.
Elemental Orbs are special items used to adjust the IVs of a legendary bird you own. They cannot be bought from any shop and are the only way to improve a legendary bird's IVs after catching it, so they command high prices on the GTL. All three birds drop the same Elemental Orb item.

- Place the Roaming Legendary Bird in party slot 1 with a matching elemental type move (e.g. Discharge for Zapdos).
- Use Sweet Scent in Kanto exterior grass to summon a horde of 5 wild Pokemon.
- Wipe the entire horde in one turn using a spread move (Discharge, Heat Wave, Blizzard).
- Each KO has an independent chance to drop the bird's orb - 5 KOs per horde means 5 chances per Sweet Scent use.
- Repeat and reset. Drop rate is low so patience is required.
You can only catch one legendary bird per character per monthly rotation.
Orb drops are rare. Some players grind for several hours between drops. Hordes give 5 rolls per encounter, which is why they are preferred over single encounters.
