Crimson Core Guides: Red Rerun
Red Rerun Guide
Before you queue the fight
This is the post-Choice-Nerf version of the solve. The plan is not to preserve every Pokémon: controlled sacks create the exact entry your next setup sweeper needs.
1. Start with Infernape
Always lead Infernape and use Close Combat into Pikachu. Do not change the lead: it creates the entry points used by every branch.
2. Find Red's first Pokémon
After Pikachu, look for the first Pokémon Red sends. Open that matching branch below. You only need to follow one branch at a time.
3. Follow each row in order
Swap means switch now. Send means bring it in after a KO. Sack means let that Pokémon faint so the planned sweeper gets a safe entry.
The Red rerun team
Build these sets exactly where a specific IV or defensive threshold is listed.
Opening job: Always lead. Close Combat handles Pikachu; Encore creates the controlled sack turns needed for the setup routes.
Pivot job: Yawn creates the sleep / sack window. Volt Switch moves you into the correct sweeper without wasting a turn.
RNG note: Use 24+ HP / 24+ SpD for the no-critical-hit RNG. The standard line is two Swords Dances, Rock Polish, then sweep.
PP note: PP Up Sucker Punch to 6. Low Kick handles Snorlax; Sucker Punch is the finisher for the other targets.
Use the 230 Atk / 36 SpD / 244 Spe spread with the listed 19 SpD IV. The 252 / 252 alternative is only for a 28+ SpD IV.
RNG note: Use 25+ HP / 25+ SpD for the no-critical-hit RNG. Brick Break handles Samurott; Mach Punch cleans the other targets.
Follow the matchup
Open the branch for the first Pokémon Red sends after Pikachu. Read from top to bottom. When a row says go to another solve, close this branch and open the named one.
