Ho-Oh Rerun Guide

3-Pokémon Trick Room strategy, the easiest and most consistent method

👥 3 Pokémon Exact party, no more, no less
Trick Room Speed order is critical
📋 10 Turns Complete move script
Level 100 Required, no exceptions
Speed Order is Absolutely Critical
Chandelure must be the fastest (highest Speed stat), followed by Rotom-Heat, and Lunatone must be the slowest of the three. This order controls when Trick Room is set and ensures the strategy executes correctly every single turn.
Chandelure Chandelure Fastest
Rotom-Heat Rotom-Heat Middle
Lunatone Lunatone Slowest

Team Builds

All three Pokémon must be at Level 100. The EVs and IVs listed below are the minimum requirements. Exceeding them where possible improves survivability.

Chandelure
Chandelure

Chandelure's high Defense and Special Defense investments bait Ho-Oh's AI into targeting specific moves, keeping your team alive long enough to execute the strategy.

Crucial Deployment Rules

🚫
Only Bring 3 Pokémon

You must only have these 3 Pokémon in your party. If you bring a full team of 6, Ho-Oh will immediately use Whirlwind on Turn 1 and ruin the entire setup.

📋
Exact Party Order

Your party must be in this exact order before entering the battle:

1st Chandelure
2nd Rotom-Heat
3rd Lunatone
🗡
Level 100 Required

All three Pokémon must be Level 100. The exact HP, Defense, and Speed values needed to survive Ho-Oh's attacks and the summoned Legendary Beasts depend on max-level stats.

🍂
Optional: Max Repel

Using 1 Max Repel before reaching Ho-Oh prevents random encounters interrupting your run to the battle. Not required, but strongly recommended for a clean approach.

Turn-by-Turn Move Script

Follow this exact 10-turn script. When told to "Kill the Legendary Beast": use Hidden Power (Ground) for Entei or Raikou, and Thunderbolt for Suicune.
